Meet the team
Chris Kearney
Director
I am the director of Brunel Mortgages which I started in May 2005. I have grown the business through recommendation into a successful mortgage and insurance brokerage. Customer satisfaction is my main motivation and an absolute priority for the whole team. Our ethos is to provide the best customer service throughout the mortgage process. The advice we give is just the start of this service. We employ extra support staff to ensure that our customers are kept informed regularly all the way through to completion. I qualified as a financial adviser in 1981 and have specialised in mortgage and protection advice since 1999. I continue to give advice and I am supported by a growing team of mortgage and protection advisers. I am proud to work with such a friendly and professional team. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling; both on mountain trails and in the open country. I also love to bake, mostly because I enjoy eating cakes!
Sharon Hobbs
Equity Release & Mortgage Adviser
I am a mortgage adviser and I have worked at Brunel since September 2019, although I have been a mortgage adviser since 1994. It is my role to make the advice and application process as simple, straightforward, and stress-free as possible for my clients. Although I specialise in mortgages for the over 50’s and equity release, I also love working with our first time buyers to help them realise their dream of buying their first home. In my spare time I enjoy watching all sports, especially cricket. I also love knitting, which I find is excellent for mindfulness….as long as I don’t drop a stitch!
Gill Parsons
Equity Release & Mortgage Adviser
I have been a mortgage adviser with Brunel since 2019. I have worked within the mortgage industry since 1984 and have been advising since 2004. I advise on all types of mortgages and specialise in mortgages for the retired and over 50’s. My aim is to help make the mortgage process for my clients as stress free as possible. I am always happy to answer as many questions as you wish to ask along the way. I am an avid reader, love gardening on a very amateur level and am a mad cat and dog lady!
Karen Daniel
Protection Adviser & Mortgage Adviser
I have been a Mortgage & Protection Adviser since 1995 and I have been with Brunel since 2019 as a specialist Protection Adviser. My role is to ensure that clients have peace of mind. Whilst I specialise in arranging our clients protection I also advise on mortgages, including Over 50’s and Equity Release. In my spare time I love spending time with my grandchildren and travelling the world to experience the diverse cultures.
Emma Legg
Mortgage Administrator
Originally from Exeter, I have worked in the banking and mortgage sector for twenty years. My role as an administrator involves working closely with our clients and advisers to ensure that applications are submitted and managed promptly until completion. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and taking long walks with our two dogs.
Tammy Millard
Mortgage Administrator
I am a customer care officer for Brunel Mortgages. My role is to liaise with clients and keep in contact with them about the progress of their application. I aim to make the experience as easy as possible. I grew up in South Africa and emigrated to England with my husband twenty years ago. I am a mum of two boys and in my free time you will find me on the side of the rugby pitch, supporting them.
Graham Walsh
Protection Adviser & Mortgage Specialist
I am a mortgage adviser and protection specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Throughout the years I have built my reputation on consistent quality customer service across all areas of mortgage advice from first time buyers, movers and remortgages to experienced portfolio buy to let investors. As well as helping clients to buy their dream home, I am also passionate about advising on ways to protect individuals and families against the unforeseen in life. In my time out of the office I follow football including the mighty Green Army with their ups and downs, have a busy family life and enjoy keeping fit with running/cycling, when I get the chance.
